EVERGRACE MINISTRY

     Our Pastor

Our Pastor, Jesse Acosta, graduated from Prairie Bible Institute (Prairie Bible College) in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. He has also benefited from the academics of the Rio Grande Language School; Rio Grande Bible Institute/Seminary, Ekklesia Theological Seminary; Westminster Theological Seminary; Grays Harbor College; Northwest Indian College. He also enjoyed the tutelage of Dr. William J. Larkin, J.O. Percy, Ralph G. Braun, and Wil S. Winter.

Having successfully passed a formal interrogation, Jesse received ordination at the Grace Bible Church of Pequonnock, New Jersey. Prior to his ordination, he served as the Assistant to the Pastor at the Buena Memorial Church in Chicago, Illinois,  Missionary Candidate and Appointee with the Gospel Mission of South America, Pastor of Country Bible Church of Capay Rancho, California and Grace Bible Church of Hoquiam, Washington.

"My primary purpose in life is to teach the whole
counsel of the Word of God as clearly as possible. I look to the illuminating ministry of the Holy Spirit to enlighten my mind. To achieve this goal, I use the Grammatico-Historical method of interpretation. This entails studying the text of Scripture in the original languages taking into account the historical background and then expositing it from the pulpit to those who will give it an audience. Some of my colleagues are fond of referring to this method as I.C.E. Teaching."   (Isogogical – Categorical – Exegetical)

Apart from his ministerial endeavors, he is a State Certified Court Interpreter, primarily serving in the Superior Court of Washington. He also served as the Secretary for the Washington Interpreters and Translators Society; has served several years in the counseling field of substance abuse as well as in the field of domestic violence and has been a candidate for the Aberdeen City Council on two occasions, and continues to be an active supporter of Law Enforcement.

Jesse and Julie have been married since 2004. He has three adult daughters from a previous marriage and Julie has two adult sons. Jesse and Julie currently reside in Everett, Washington. They enjoy visiting the many beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest.

  Our Pastor’s Wife

Julie is a California girl who enjoys fast cars and the outdoors. She is a fabulous interior decorator and loves entertaining guests. Ask Jesse and he will tell you that she has a delightful way about her that makes her fun to be around. “She has been an encouragement to me to continue on in the ministry of teaching God’s Word in Everett, Washington.”  She uses her talent in organizing and decorating the church’s special dinners. But her abilities do not stop there, she is also a computer geek and has resolved many of the computer issues that the church has encountered. She also takes on the responsibility of editing and polishing the audio visual presentations which will be available on this site.

Our Teaching Ministries

The teaching ministry of Evergrace Fellowship Church is evidenced in its Mid-Week Bible Study taught by Mr. Mike Sams. Some of the recent topics covered by Mike are: "Forty things God does for you at the moment of salvation", "The Book of Acts", "The Book of Hebrews" & "The inter-testamental book of Maccabees". For more information, use the contact us section at the end of this site.

We feel that it is immensely important to reach the children of our locality with the message of the Gospel. There appears to be a dearth of the clear message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This scarcity has overlaid several generations in our nation. There are so many children in our free country that have no idea who Jesus Christ is and how He can give them eternal salvation. And not only is the spiritual imperative incumbent upon us but if our nation is to have better leadership than to which it has been subjected, it is important that men and women of virtue be cultivated.

1.  Liberator Mission

The Liberator Mission is headed up by Capt. Ernie Moquin. Ernie and Cindy will be sailing down the Pacific Coast rendering aid to missionary agencies and orphanages along the Mexican coast and southward and then to the south sea islands and back to Everett.

This is our church's initial missionary venture and we are excited to see the Lord work to prepare the ship for high seas navigation. We are thrilled to see the Lord move in Ernie and Cindy's hearts in their quest of honoring the Lord by reaching out to win the lost and to assist those missionaries on the front lines. The Liberator set sail on October 2nd, 2015.

 5.    Bible Survey Class

A survey class is one where a book of the Bible is studied in from a “bird’s eye view”. Broad strokes are used to paint the main theme of the book. The majority of the details are left out in favor of getting an impression of the book of the Bible that is being studied. This is a marvelous way of getting acquainted with the chronology of the Bible and with the flow of the “plot”.

The class is held on Tuesday nights via SKYPE. If you would like to drop in on the class just look me up on SKYPE. My address is      jesse.acosta1919
